Legend — Kunzite is a young stone in the history of gemology, identified only in 1902 in California and named in honour of the gemologist George Frederick Kunz, who first described it. A lithium-bearing variety of spodumene, its soft lilac colour comes from delicate traces of manganese. It has since been carried as a stone of the heart — a quiet companion for those learning to love themselves and others with an open, unarmoured heart.
