Peristerite is one of the least known and most spellbinding stones of the feldspar family. Often confused with moonstone, it sets itself apart with slightly whiter, milkier tones, sometimes shot through with pearl grey or pale blue. What makes it instantly recognisable is its adularescence — that luminous veil that seems to float within the stone, between pearly blue and lunar silver, like a captive light seeking to escape. Its surface may also show fine natural striations, witnesses to its particular crystalline structure. Each JUMBO piece is a subtle, luminous presence, of a discreet and profound beauty.
Emotional and spiritual virtues — It is associated with fine intuition, sensitivity and the gentleness of the inner world. It is said to accompany those who wish to refine their perception, to listen to the subtle signals their own deep nature sends them, and to move through transitions with more grace and confidence. Its gentle, receptive vibration invites you to slow the mind so that what already knows may emerge — that silent wisdom which precedes thought. On a spiritual level, it is said to foster the opening of intuition, reconnection with the lunar cycles and the ability to receive the messages of the invisible with discernment.
Legend — Its name comes from the Greek peristera, meaning dove — a universal symbol of peace, gentleness and divine guidance. In traditions linked to lunar energies, peristerite was considered a stone of passage — an ally for crossing the thresholds of life, the ends of cycles and the rebirths. Akin to moonstone, it shares its long history of connection with the lunar goddesses and the sacred feminine traditions across the world, from ancient India to the Mediterranean shores.
JUMBO orders take time to craft — from 2 to 3 weeks in the busiest periods. The photo is non-contractual: each stone is unique, and its imperfections are the testimony of a natural stone.
