Sakura agate is a stone of utterly poetic delicacy. Its hues — pale pinks, creamy whites, soft beiges, sometimes touched with ashen grey or watercolour peach — instantly evoke Japanese cherry blossoms suspended between sky and earth, in that fleeting instant when beauty is at once at its height and about to take flight. It is a variety of chalcedony with naturally, infinitely gentle patterns, each piece telling a different story. Each JUMBO is a floral, soothing presence — a whisper of spring fixed in stone for eternity.

Emotional and spiritual virtues — It is associated with gentleness towards oneself, grace within impermanence, and the ability to welcome transitions lightly. It is said to accompany those moving through a time of letting go — a bereavement, the end of a cycle, a gentle yet profound transformation — helping them to see the beauty of what passes rather than the pain of loss. Its tender, enveloping vibration invites you to cultivate gentleness as a strength, delicacy as a wisdom, and gratitude for each moment of beauty offered. On a spiritual level, it is said to foster the opening of the heart, inner peace and the ability to root oneself in the beauty of the present.

Legend — Its name evokes the sakura — the cherry blossom — central symbol of Japanese culture and of the philosophy of mono no aware, that bittersweet awareness of the impermanence of things. In Japan, the blossoming cherry trees are celebrated each year during hanami — the contemplation of flowers — a sacred moment of presence, gratitude and communion with the fleeting beauty of the world. Sakura agate carries this ancient teaching within it: that what is fragile is precious, that what passes deserves to be fully lived, and that beauty need not last to be true.

JUMBO orders take time to craft — from 2 to 3 weeks in the busiest periods. The photo is non-contractual: each stone is unique, and its imperfections are the testimony of a natural stone.
