Selenite is a luminous, satin-white gypsum whose name comes directly from the Greek selene, meaning moon, in recognition of the quality that anyone who has held this stone immediately recognises — something lunar, cool and luminous. Its characteristic silky, striated surface, with fine parallel fibres that catch and diffuse light in long, soft bands, gives each bead a depth quite unlike any other white stone. Each bead is subtly unique in its translucency and inner glow. Worn at the wrist, it is a light, elevated presence — clean, still and quietly extraordinary.
Emotional and spiritual virtues — It is associated with mental clarity, energetic purification and the cultivation of a high, still inner space above the turbulence of everyday thought. It may support those who feel mentally cluttered or energetically heavy — those who need not more stimulation but a genuine clearing. Its vibration is said to be among the most refined and consistently purifying in the mineral kingdom. Unlike most stones, selenite is said never to need cleansing itself. Spiritually, it is considered one of the most powerful stones for meditation, angelic connection and inner stillness.
Legend — Selenite takes its name from Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon, who drove her silver chariot across the night sky and poured her cool, clarifying light upon all who sought her guidance. Across many traditions it has been used for working with lunar energy and creating sacred spaces of purity. In ancient Mesopotamia, selenite was placed in the foundations of temples to purify the ground on which they stood. To wear it is a reminder that clarity, like moonlight, is always available, even when clouds temporarily obscure it.
JUMBO orders require time for preparation, ranging from 2 to 3 weeks during the busiest periods. The photo is not contractual — each bracelet is unique and its imperfections are the mark of a natural stone.
